Something But Nothing is Fort Design Studio's love letter to the world.

A coined term that is frequently used in our office during a scheming or styling session: "something but nothing." Use it in a sentence? "I really need a good sofa fabric that feels like something but nothing." Translation: I need a good sofa fabric that adds interest to the scheme but doesn't take away from all the other goodies we have planned like wallpaper or drapery. Alternatively, "Why can't I find a side table that is the right dimensions for the space and adds something but nothing to the room?" Translation: Why is it so hard to find a fun side table that fits the space well but feels formal and full of personality at the same time?

Sooo....

After countless trips to Round Top, scouring estate sales and just being inspired by items all around us that we didn't necessarily have a place for... we decided to create a place for it. We were tired of trying to find items that seemingly only existed in our heads... so we decided to create a place for them.
